Aligned with efforts of the Vera Institute of Justice, California’s Office of Youth and Community Restoration (OYCR) and the End Girl’s Incarceration (EGI) initiatives, Rite Track Youth Services aims to provide community-based diversion programming for girls and gender-expansive youth ages 13-17 in Imperial County. Services will be designed to provide less restrictive alternatives to incarcerations and/or juvenile sentencing. Proposed diversion services will align with ELLAS youth with individualized case plans that include intervention programming, are family centered, diversion services, gender specific activities, mentoring services, linkage to supportive services, individual and group-based sessions, and supportive services. Program services operate utilizing best practices and evidence-based trauma informed practices. Through support, structure, and supervision of youth, Rite Track will work with probation and partnering agencies to help reduce risk behaviors, provide intervention services, divert youth from the juvenile justice systems, and empower young females and gender-expansive youth.
